Need Help Root!

Hey guys I am new the forums and I really want to root my LG OPTIMUS V. But I don't know how or I do know how but some of the tutorials are SOOO confusing. And sometimes I have no idea what they are trying to say. My android is froyo (2.2.2) and I want to root it. I need a quick tutorial or even better, A VIDEO to help me out.

I realize this isn't the answer you're probably looking for, but I'm thinking if the guides are that confusing to you, you probably are not ready to root yet. CAN you? Sure... but I'd suggest reading a bit more about it and what is involved. With something as potentially damaging as rooting and modding (possibility to completely brick a device) you should really learn as much as you can before you touch anything.

Thanks guys I just rooted my phone with gingerbreak. It was pretty easy. Just install turn on debugging and click root me now lol. Thanks for the extra help though.
