Android Dock / Cradle
I bought a dock / cradle for my Android (GS3) but I don't think that matters. It would apply to any device
When I put a phone on it overnight at 30% battery, when I woke up it was only like 75%
I have the phone in the cradle, in the back of the cradle they have a battery, and then the cord is plugged into a wall adaptor (the ones shown on ebay) that is holding a spare battery
It took awfully long to charge and not end up fully charged
I know the Innodock Jr from Seidio which I had would have been fully charged, hours earlier
Could this simply be due to an inferior cradle? I didn't / don't think so, as when I asked which one of two cradles to get, it was pointed out that any cradles advertised to do the same things, i.e. case compatible and dual purpose, will be the same quality, just get the cheaper one.
Or could it be due to the device dividing power up three ways (excuse my lack of Electrical knowledge) charging the wall charger, the battery back of the cradle, and the phone itself?
Thank You - 07-21-2012, 12:25 PM #2
Re: Android Dock / Cradle
I guess it sorta depends on the battery level of the dock when you plugged it in. Not really sure which gets precedence for charging, the dock or the phone. But, if the dock's battery was at a very low level when it was plugged in, it might have charged the dock first. I'd test this with my Prime, but, it's generally not plugged in.

I'd suggest charging your phone, not in the dock, just to make sure it's charging properly. Then you can worry about the dock when your phone has a full charge. - 07-22-2012, 02:26 AM

Hey man how ya been
Thanks for making me look like a fool LMAO.
Nahh I should have known better. I am normally a very logical person. Just think wtf is going on sometimes when you spend money and don't think right away
I took the plug out of the wall adaptor, the battery was down to 10, I pulled out the ac adaptor still in the GS3 box, plugged the USB into there, within 30 minutes I was over 60%.
The way it WAS, I would have barely been there in the a.m.
We did talk about the transformer when we spoke of tablets last week, didn't we
I finally got one...well, ordered it. The transformer. The 700
Did you say you would or would not recommend the dock/keyboard. Or just get a bluetooth keyboard and folio?
How is my soup coming along. When ready, pm me and I will give my address
or some HOT papaya salad. If you like hot, I am not sure if you agree, but my friend Danielle and I, both HOTTT food friends, agree that a Hot papaya salad can be killer. Seems to hold the heat as well as anything.
You have any opinion on that. And if so, why?
btw my name is in fact Eric, yours - 07-23-2012, 10:42 AM #4

Great man!!
Lol, nah, you don't look like a fool man.
Hey, that's great man, glad to hear that worked for ya!!
Very nice!! You are gonna love it.
I'd highly recommend getting the dock for any tablet that has one from the manufacturer. The functionality on it is great and it has many many hot keys that perform functions on your tablet and makes it easier to get to utilize them. I don't use the trackpad, but, it's nice to know it's there. I generally only use it when I'm having accuracy trouble pressing something. Pointer seems a bit more accurate than my finger.
Lol, too funny. No, never tried it. If I ever see it somewhere, I will be sure to pick it up. Or, if I ever get around to it, I will try and make it. I know someone at work that is really into hot food. I'll have to ask them about it.
Opinions on what, why it stays hot for longer? Never really noticed anything like that. But, I would think that if there are peppers or something in there and they are in pieces or something, the longer it's in whatever it is, the more of it will leak out. But, not really sure.
Lol, sorta figured that.
Mine's Devin.
