Re: How-To Unlock Bootloader/Factory Restore/Root any NEXUS devic

To make things a little more complicated, my last USB plug died (out of the three I have on my netbook). So I guess it doesn't really matter anymore. I'm stuck like this for now.

EDIT: Figured out how to fix the USB drives.

C:\Users\xxxxxxxxxx\AppData\Local\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools>fastboot -w update image-sojus-gwk74.zip
archive does not contain 'boot.sig'
archive does not contain 'recovery.sig'
archive does not contain 'system.sig'
----------------------------------------------
Bootloader Version..: D720SPRKE1
Baseband Version....: D720SPRKL2
Serial Number.......: 3134DFCF545700EC
----------------------------------------------
checking product...
OKAY [ 0.023s]
checking version-bootloader...
OKAY [ 0.017s]
checking version-baseband...
FAILED

Device version-baseband is 'D720SPRKL2'.
Update requires 'D720SPRKC9' or 'D720SPRKD8' or 'D720SPRKE5' or 'D720SPRKH1'.

finished. total time: 0.390s

Which now I'm hearing that some Nexus S 4Gs erronously report as D720SPRKE1, instead of D720SPRKH1. Apparently that includes my phone.
D720SPRKE1 radio is actually D720SPRKH1 - xda-developers

you have to extract the zip file like mentioned in the guide. The files have to be on the fastboot folder.

follow step 2. Factory Restore Android: a,b and c.

ok here are the steps. assuming you opened command promt on the fastboot folder run each line one at a time. make sure the phone is connected

fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-crespo4g-d720sprlc1.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio-crespo4g-d720sprlf2.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot -w update image-sojus-jro03r.zip

NOTE: file bootloader-crespo4g-d720sprlc1.img radio-crespo4g-d720sprlf2.img and image-sojus-jro03r.zip has to be on the fastboot folder.

dont miss any steps posted. I assume you downloaded the wrong file. here is the direct download https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/sojus-jro03r-factory-59a247f5.tgz

Re: How-To Unlock Bootloader/Factory Restore/Root any NEXUS devic

Hi
I did everything to restore my Nexus S, but I'm stuck at "select "android_winusb" and click OK" at the step "0. Setting up your PC". My PC doesnt find the driver in the SDK. I downloaded and installed the installer_r22.0.1-windows.exe file... Is it possible that there are other versions of the SDK? I'm under Windows Vista.
Thanks!!
