Default help with removing an app that's on phone twice

I have a new phone, that came with android 5.1 (Ice cream sandwich) and it came with a trial of plants vs zombies. I enjoyed the trial and tried to upgrade, and it just gave me a network error. So I went to the google play app store, and bought the full version there. But now I have two copies installed, one that is still the trial, and one that is the full version. Anyone know how I can remove the trial version from my phone?

you can disable the app by going to settings-->Apps-->All Apps-->Click on App and click disable.

    it will be gone.

PvZ is a WiFi only download, that is probably why you couldn't upgrade.
