Default Transfer files between android decices

I have an android tablet and a android phone and I'm wondering what's the easiest way to transfer files back and forth between both devices. Like an app to do that or something?

Could plug both into your computer so it sees both devices and their storage, then simply copy and paste like you would any other folder move on the computer.

You could also use Bluetooth. I'd probably just go the PC VIA USB route though.

What I'm trying to transfer is files I actually need on the phone and on Google drive I can't seem to downloaded a file to a select folder that I need it in I only see the option to save for offline viewing and I do it now via PC but it seems with everything you can do with these phones there would just be an easy app to transfer files between devices.

Do it VIA Bluetooth then. Long press the file, select BT, select the device you want to send it to. There might be an app that lets you do multiple files at a time, I don't know. But, if it's not a lot of files, that should work.

What phones do you have? You could do Wifi-direct between the devices to move files. I believe ICS is the minimum requirement. Go to settings-wireless networks-wifi direct

Use one of the apps that allow one of the devices to be accessed by a web browser to transfer files over a wifi.

I have a Verizon nexus and a nexus 7. How do I do WiFi direct? The only way I know how to do anything with the file is astro file manager and that let's me email the file but once I email it there is no option to download it. The email just says something like no program can open this file and I already know that I just want it on the phone I Dont care to open it

If they're both on Jelly Bean you can Android Beam, but I'm not sure if your Verizon phone has JB yet.
