How do I get a rooted rom on to a device for flashing of windows

The process of rooting is device specific, so it depends on what phone/tablet you have. You really need to do your research and ask in the forum for your specific device. Also I'm not sure what you mean by "flashing of windows". Are you trying to install a Windows Phone operating system on your android phone. I don't know if that's possible, but again, you need to ask in a forum specific to your device.

I am missed typed the part about windows. I'm using windows vista 7 but can't seem to get the rom zip file I got from xda on to the captivate glide do I use odin3? I thought I could install it like it was an external storage but that didn't work

Well I rooted my s3 in about 7 minutes came back to the glide to try and root that. I don't have root but my binary has 3 counts. How does that happen ? I would really appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction cuz I'm thinking about throwing this phone out the window:banghead:
