Wallpaper on Nexus 7
I'm sure much of what I don't understand will become apparent once I have the device in hand, but . . .
The official Nexus Help site says:
Now suppose I have a wallpaper source: my usual screen background is a brick wall, much like the background on my home page, usually with some distinctive image in the middle (I'm thinking of doing one with a picture of Brent Spiner as Cmdr. Data, since this is an Android device). Now it's easy enough for me to save it as a PNG, or a JPEG, or any other format that GIMP can save to, and to either attach it to an email message, or stick it on my web site, or on Flickr, but how would I then get it onto the tablet, where the wallpaper setting can find it?. . .
Touch a wallpaper source:
Gallery. Choose from pictures that you've synced with your tablet.

Re: Wallpaper on Nexus 7
Just download the image from gmail and you will find that image in gallery to be set as background.
