Help please??

Ok so I just got the new mytouchQ and it won't let me screenshot using the home and power button like my old android did, and I can't find anything on how to do it. So I ask how the heck do I take a screenshot?

It's strange. Usually it should work. I know a few apps, but they need a rooted phone. Actually if you root your phone, you don't even need an app. Most custom ROMs have this functionality.
