Default video player Droid Bionic
Hello, I inadvertantly made the built-in video player the default and I can't figure out how to undo that. Here's how I got here.
I use Beyond Pod for video podcasts. I also have MX Video Player which I like. Everytime I update MX, then next time I click on a video to watch in BeyondPod it asks me what I want to use for the default video player. In BeyondPod I already have it set for external player which means do not use BeyondPods' player but use something external to it...such as the Bionic built-in player OR MX Video player. So when BeyondPod asked this time, I accidentally clicked on built-in video player after clicking don't ask me again instead of choosing MX Video Player. And now I can't figure out how to undo that. The settings in MX don't seem to change anything...all I can do is pick between internal (BeyondPod's player) or external...which now only gets me the built-in player. I looked in the general settings in Android and can't find a setting for that. The built-in player is not in the app drawer so I can't find any settings for that. So I'm stuck. The built-in player only plays in landscape in one direction...the direction with the charging micro-USB plug down...so there's no way to play video while charging because the phone won't sit flat on that side with the plug sticking out of what the built-in player thinks is the bottom side. In Windows when you have a file type associated with a particular program you can change that anytime. Can you not make changes in Android? Can anyone help with this? Thanks. - 10-20-2012, 04:08 PM #2
