Hey guys!

So I've had a Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660 for a while but today a friend of mine told me I should upgrade it.
So he installed me some new software or something (I'm a total newb at this :/ ) and I'm lost.

I'd like to go back to my old version (2.3.6 from what I've seen I believe it is Gingerbread). I'm stuck in 4.0.4 ICS...
Could someone please help me? I've been searching for hours now...

Several reasons, first of all :I liked the old version, this one is too different from GB for me. :/
Second: it's kind of slow, seems my phone can't handle it that well.
Third: No USB Mass Storage device n_n"

Well, you might want to give it a little bit to sink in. You might like it as you get used to it.

Haved you rebooted yet? Sometimes it can take a couple of boots to run smoothly.

Also, you could try a factory reset.

I've already done a factory reset and I've booted the phone like a thousand times the past 12 hours, still slow as hell.
And I've just encountered that my Samsung Kies doesn't recognize my phone any more... u_u"

I know it is asking you to work but I really want to go back to 2.3.6

Well, you are going to have to find a 2.3.6 ROM for your phone and flash it. Can check CM.

You'd have to find a 2.3.6 stock ROM for your phone. You can try googling for it. I have no idea where one would be.
