Need help to Root Android 2.3.6 MTK6573 - 7 inch tablet phone

I bought a chinese tablet -Dolphin A70- 7 inch tablet phone Android 2.3.6 (CPU: MTK6573 ARM11 Dual core each 650MHz)

I need help to root this phone and also want to know whether i can upgrade this to ICS from 2.3.6?

You are going to have to scour the internet for a root process for your tablet, and, a ROM for your tablet. The less mainstream the device is, the less likely you are going to find either.

You might want to check slatedroid.com. There are a lot of ROM developers for different platforms over there.
