I currently own a HTC EVO 3D and I want to switch to a iPhone 4.

If i buy a iPhone from eBay what are the next steps to getting it on my plan I'm very familiar with the iPhone and i know that they do not have the dame type of SD or SIM cards, so what do I have to do I'm not very educated in technology.
