Default Bulk delete of emails in my inbox

Heretofore, I have been deleting email one at a time. I read and respond to my email on my computer, so its all gone there. The same account on my HTC Inspire accumulates the email. After about three or more days the inbox is filling up.
How can I delete the contents of the inbox?

i assume you use gmail. in the gmail settings there is an option to enable checkbox which gives a checkbox for all emails.

check the email you want to delete and click delete

Sounds like something isn't syncing correctly. If you delete it in the computer, it should also delete on the phone.

What email are you using? Gmail?
