Hi guys,
I upgraded my operating system today from a gingerbread to ics 4.0.4. Everything seems to be working fine other than in the files menu usbStorage does not show up (where all my pics and videos are), however when i connect to my pc and open the removable disk drive (J:) it shows up there and the files inside the folder are there too.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

What device are you using?
Upgrading from gingerbread (2.x) to ice cream sandwich (4.0) on different manufacturers devices can lead to differing options when it comes to saving files and such.

Its a Samsung T989 T mobile
try this. settings-->storage-->menu(three dots)-->USB mass storage--> check the one with USB or something.
the files and folder will showup on the PC.
