Rooted VZW phone need replacment

I have rooted my droid in the past but unrooted for repairs I have not run any customs roms only the stock. Im running 4.0.4 ICS about 2 days ago my external speaker went out and i have to take my battery out for 10 min before installing and powering up my device for my speakers to start working again. I did a factory reset and the problem still exist. Will VZW replace my phone even though the device was rooted at one time?

they might. they have been known to replace previously rooted phones, but it's kinda a crapshoot. which droid do you have?

lets see if we can get a mod to move this to the bionic subforum. I have the bionic too. And as I understand it, the root checker on the bionic is broken and will show rooted even when it's never been rooted.
