What is this status bar icon

I have a (Verizon) Samsung S3 and I can't determine what this status bar icon represents. It doesn't appear on the regular lists of standard icons and I can't figure out what app it might be associated with since it never goes away (even after I've closed down all active apps via the task switchcher).

GPS Location Active.

Well, thanks for that.
Didn't think to pull out the manual....figured the left half was GPS but didn't realize what the right half meant.

People sometimes report icons that aren't even in the manual, but that's usually because of an update to the system or a 3rd party app.

I'm one of those dinosaurs that actually likes to look through manuals--you can find some useful stuff in there!

Gps icon apper when app or systek using gps, it wont happen manually if app dont do that manually ; p
