Re: Browser / media player
"Browser" is the stock Android browser that comes with most phones. It's usually pretty decent, and can sync bookmarks with your desktop Google Chrome browser. However, other browsers can be faster and offer more features, like Firefox, Dolphin, and the actual Chrome browser for Android. You can always install 3rd party browsers on your phone, but you can't uninstall the stock Browser on Android 2.3.4 unless you're rooted.
The media player is presumably the stock player on your phone itself. The name of it varies--you can scan your list of apps in Settings/Apps/All to find it. It's probably called Media Player or Video Player.
Re: Browser / media player
@ B. Diddy thanks for your help. By the way I can't install Chrome - I guess because my Android = 2.3.4 = old. Anyway please see my related question [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...].
Thanks...
Re: Browser / media player
Chrome requires Android 4.0 and up.
