Transfered Files date/time stamps?
I have over 500 text files of my writing and other things such as reference information that I have transferred to my Nexus7 and Nexus5 devices.
While I have no trouble transferring the files, when they are established on the Android devices, they all have the date/time stamp of the transfer date.
The original date/time stamps have become very valuable to me... they show everything from version, how long it's been since I worked on them, and, most importantly, being able to track revisions made on three different computers.
So, question... is there any way to transfer files to an Android device and maintain the original date/time stamps. I have tried different file managers, used ftp server on the droid transfers and even zipped the files on the pc and unzipped them on the Android only to find that all files end up with the date/time they are written to the Android's storage area.
I'm open to things such as an android utility app that could revise the date/time stamps using a data file.
Thanks in advance,
Beverly Howard
