Hi all,

I recently got a samsung galaxy S3 upgrading from an iPhone 4S, i know how to add my google/Gmail account ok.

The problem is with my Gmail- when i delete an email of my phone it deletes of Gmail on my pc inbox aswell

On my iphone i had it set up as POP i think, when i deleted a email of my phone it stayed on Gmail server on my pc as a unread new email

How can i do this on my S3 ive tried loads of times and also changing the settings on gmail on my but im getting really confused

I believe that is a "feature" of the gmail app. I think you have 2 choices, you could shorten the sync days in setting to 1 and then only delete email older than 1 day, but I think a better alternative is to change email apps. I use MailDroid and I believe it is better than the gmail app and it give you the choice of deleting locally only.
