Interesting dilemma

So, I bought my cell phone 2 years ago. In a few months, I'll be in the market for a new one and I'm weighing my options.

Not long after I bought my phone, Android 3.0 came out. My phone never did receive an update so is still running 2.3. Slowly, development of launchers and apps stopped getting developed for 2.3 as everyone focused on Jelly Bean. Now that I'm starting to consider a new phone, will Android 5.0 be coming out soon enough to make it a better idea to wait?

Google IO will be in May and its expected that they will annouce Android 4.3 or 5.0 there. But it usally take time until OEM start to use it so i say around summer and authun you should see first phones with new version out of the box
