I have downloaded the leaked JB 4.2.1 I9300XXUFMB3 Fireware update from Sammobile and I want to give it a try and install it on my Galaxy S3. FGrom what is written about it at Sammobile and elsewhere, it seems to be compatible with my I9300 (O2,UK) phone. Howevert, I have a few questions I would love you guys to help me with.
Is it really worth updating from 4.1 to 4.2? What are the real benefits, if any?
Will doing this wipe all my data and apps? I really don't want to install all of these again. What about my External SDCard, will this be wiped to? It would seem a bit drastic to lose everythingm just by upgrading the firmware. Even Microsoft mostly allows the retention of user data and applications when upgrading Windows - mostly!
