hey guys, have been looking around cant really figure out the frequency thing. If i were looking to buy a zopo phone or something along those lines, what do i need to be looking for in the usa frequency range? or does verizon even let you use those phones? sorry if it's already been answered

I am not a Verizon user, but most certainly they use the CDMA technology. Zopo phones (as well as near most of the Chinese phones), are GSM phones and will NOT work on the Verizon network.

Most of the Chinese phones and I believe that all of the Zopo models are Global Quad-band phones and will therefore work on ALL GSM VOICE networks anywhere in the world. In the USA, that would mean AT&T, and T-Mobile for the major networks and a few other smaller networks distributed around the country. Where you need to check carefully is for DATA networks. Most of the Chinese phones are still only offering 3G and not 4G. More importantly is that they generally do not offer 3G on all the available frequencies. You need to check the specific phone's 3G frequencies against that of your GSM carrier of choice. The link below is of great help on checking frequency compatibility, but a call to the network is also advised.

By the way...I have been the proud user of the Zopo ZP200 for about a year now and they are good phones...prob one of the better Chinese phones out there and especially if you are looking for the dual sim capability. All the best with your new phone.
