HELP!!!!! HTC wildfire

HI everyone , new on here, so please be gentle,
just got the wildfire, so far im impressed, but after downloading HTC sync and connecting the phone to pc it says that no device is connected, any ideas, im running windows vista premium.

please , any advice welcomed

Seems like a lot of users are having this problems with some models. A guy at the company whose IT I'm managing has the same issue with his Hero.

What you can do is, go into the Device Manager and uninstall your phone from there and then reconnect. Try a different cable if possible.

Is your phone telling you that there's a connection? Does it charge? Can you select USB mode?
