Default Help identifying an icon on my phone

I am new to Android Ph's and I have a HTC One x with AT&T. I was able to identify all the icons on the top of the screen, excepting for one of them. It looks line 'N', in-between the Bluetooth and Ph-ringer icons. Can some one help me with that please. Thanks in advance.

NFC is activated. Allows data exchange when the phone touches another device. Deactivate in settings if you want.
