Popup applications not working - new samsung galaxy s3

Hi,

I just got a "new" samsung galaxy s3 a few days ago and the only problem I've come across so far is that none of the sms pop up apps I download work. I've used SMS Popup on my previous phones in conjunction with Handcent SMS with no problem. I'm frustrated because I can't figure out why NONE of the apps, SMS 7, Popup Notifier, or SMS Popup, will work. And when I say doesn't work I mean I can open the app and change the settings, but nothing ever happens when I get a text - no popup, no notification, no sound, no LED light. But I've tried the Handcent pop up and it works just fine? I really want to figure out what's going on because the pop up that comes with Handcent drives me crazy. If anyone can shed some light on my situation I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks!

Just to be sure, you've enabled the Pop-up Apps that monitor your Notifications in Accessibility Settings (if needed), correct?

Honestly, I'm not sure what you mean. I've never had to do anything like that before and I just looked under my Accessibility Settings and there's nothing like that? I'm a little technologically challenged; you might have to explain it to me.

is this what you mean?

Pop-up Notifier always required it to work, not sure about the others you mentioned.

I mean this:uploadfromtaptalk1367558379855.jpg
It'll be slightly different on the S3 but it's charging now so using my N4.

Yeah I checked under Accessibility Settings and I can't find anything that has to do with popups or notifications?

The Apps themselves will be listed in the "Services" section along with Talkback when you have an App that requires Accessibility Settings like "Pop-up Notifier".

Well my problem is that none of the apps work. Including Popup notifier. Even after I enable it or whatever. And I'd prefer to you SMS Popup anyway. So if you can have other ideas about what could be wrong please let me know.

Ok but have you tried on your current phone removing Handcent & seeing if SMS Popup works so we can more easily track the cause?
