I'm trying to install the SDK software and when I connect my EVO to my computer and select USB debugging I get the new hardware found notification but when I try to install the USB drivers I run into two problems.
If I run the ADB installation wizard I get this message:
"The hardware was not installed because the wizard did not find the necessary software."
If I try to install it manually I get this message:
"The specified location does not contain information about your hardware."
It seems like Windows XP isn't recognizing the USB software for the hardware device (HTC EVO) it just detected.
I've searched around and can't find anything. Does anyone have a solution to this issue?
