Easy Batter Saver app

I just downloaded this app, and I noticed that in the notification bar, the little droid is only green when I have wifi, data, or bluetooth on. Is the app only saving battery while those are on? Anyone else have experience with this app to tell me? Also, is there an even better app than this, perhaps one that uses less CPU and RAM? It's just for emergencies, because I don't really need a battery saver, but it's good to have one just in case.

Also, for other users of this app, the highest I can get it to save is 1.6x, is there optimal settings to increase that number? Thank you so much!

Yup...you'll get an optimal number by deleting the app. "Battery saving" apps don't save battery. They interfere with system processes and can be associated with wakelock issues. My last charge lasted 30 hours - without juice defender. My advice is to drop the app and go research wakelocks over at XDA forums. But to answer your question, more than likely that's what it means. Those apps work by cutting off connectivity while your screen is off. Is your phone rooted?

Good luck!

I agree with Jarnld. These types of apps often interfere and do more harm than good if not used properly. Android handles processes pretty good to help with battery.

I wouldn't worry too much until you start seeing significant battery drain. At which point the problem maybe traced to a single app or process.

My phone isn't rooted, no. And I installed Snapdragon BatteryGuru. Fantastic app, and it uses no CPU in the background at all :P Everyone should have it that has a snapdragon phone.
