I have been so worrie about age affecting my phone. Will age affect my battery so much that it would only keep a charge a few hours? Will there be a huge difference in battery life once my phones a year old or more? Im just worried it won't last me through the day

Worry can cause you not to make it all day...really. buy an extra charger. Batteries lose humph over time. They sell batteries to many phones

For the most part, your battery won't start showing its age until after 2 or 3 years, which is probably the average duration people own a phone before upgrading. There's going to be some variation depending on how heavy your phone usage is, but not much.

The last phone I've had that had battery wear issues was a LG Dare back in 2009. Both me and my wife's two latest Android phones (Motorola Droid and Motorola Droid X2) haven't seen battery wear issues after ~2 years of use. It doesn't really seem to be an issue anymore. If you're really worried about it you can make sure to get a phone with a removable battery, but IMO it isn't necessary.
