I have a very odd problem with my phone. The charge was at around 50% this morning and suddenly the phone just switched off.
It was completely dead. When I plugged in the charger it said the battery was at 0% and wouldn't charge for ages but then it started charging. I unplugged it when it was at 67% charged but it just switched off again. When I turned it back on, it still said it was charged to 67%. Not quite sure what is going on here. I've had the phone about 15 months.
Any help would be appreciated.

I've been had the same problem, it's the port that you plug your charger into that has a broken connection somewhere (or that's what mine was) just send it to Samsung (if you are still on warranty)! Worked fine for awhile after that, but it has started doing it again so I am going to try a new battery before splashing out on a new phone! (If you have solved the problem would be nice to know how!!)

*EDIT*

Got new battery, problem still not resolved, believe it is the micro usb that is faulty? (Have also factory reset the phone to confirm it wasn't a software problem) Not sure if you want to try these things as well? Never know, may work for you!
