I've always wondered this because when I go to work, in my break I got nothing to do.

Do you have to buy like a special microSD card for movies or can any class of sdcard can do it?

    Welcome to the forums!

You can absolutely watch movies on your S3, no SD card required. The SD card will just give you the ability to keep more movies on your phone.

Ok, so I can just use any type of sd card to store the movies in and they would play perfectly? : )

Yes. The Class of the card is more important for write speeds, not read speeds.
