Move apps out of an app drawer folder?

Folks,

I sure can't figure this out, and I sure can't find anything that talks about it, so here's my simple question:

I'm working on a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, which has a folder in the app drawer. I want to move the apps in that folder OUT of there, and just put them back into the overall app drawer.

But I just can't even begin to figure it out -- all I can do is move the apps to a home screen, but they'll remain in that app drawer folder. So, is this even possible?

Thanks!

Can you long press the folder? Is so, see if that gives you an option to edit the folder and move apps out.

Actually, I figured it out -- I had to go into the "Edit" function on the app drawer page, and then I could move apps out to the rest of the page. Though, now I sure can't figure out how to delete that folder, which I would like to do.

This is the kind of thing that frustrates me with Android -- there are all of these seemingly undocumented procedures that you have to go through to do seemingly common, ordinary things. Oh, perhaps they are documented somewhere, but it's just not even obvious where you need to go look for that documentation. And then when you come up empty after an hour of Google searching, well, it's just plain far more difficult than it should be!

If you long press the folder, do you see options that come up on the screen, like an X or a trash can?

The app drawer is part if the launcher, not part of Android, so the documentation would be for that particular launcher - and in some cases for that particular version of it.
