Here's how to get iOS on your Android powered device:
This assumes you have an iOS powered device, such as an iPod Touch or iPad (probably not iPhone if you have Android).
1. Go here and download Veency Ghost for your iOS powered device: How to use Veency Ghost
You don't want the original Veency since it requires local confirmation for the connection request to be successful.
2. Setup Veency Ghost with a password.
3. Get the IP address of your iOS powered device and setup your router to allow port forwarding on port 5900 to your iOS powered device on your local network.
4. Turn off auto-lock on your iOS powered device and connect it to your computer. Your iOS powered device will remain connected to your WiFi network and will remain charged while plugged into your computer. It will be accessible via the Internet just as your full computer would.
5. Get your WAN IP address (What Is My IP Address - Shows Your IP Address).
6. Download Remote VNC free and set it up to access your WAN IP on port 5900. Leave everything at defaults. Enter your password if you want to save it for quicker access.
7. Start the connection. This will allow you to remotely access your iOS powered device running iOS 4.0+ via the Internet or over your LAN.
I posted this since I thought other people might benefit from having access to their iOS device without having to actually carry it. This is especially helpful if you want to access your iBooks or other iOS-specific app on your Android device. Since you can't get iBooks on your Android device (yet!), this is a great work around. It's fast and it works well. Let me know if you found this helpful
