Change "take screenshot" from Power+Home to Power+VolDown

I have a rooted Galaxy S3 with Android 4.1.2, and for some strange reason they've changed the screenshot combination away from the Power+VolDown that other Androids use to Power+Home which can't realistically be pressed one-handed. How can I change it back to Power+VolDown?

Most phones are Phone + Home. Are you just rooted or running a custom ROM. Some ROMs have a custom way to take screenshots, for example the one I'm on I hold the power button and it shows and option to take a screenshot.

"Most phones are Phone + Home."

I guess I wouldn't know about "most", but the Galaxy Nexus 4G I'd used before was Power + Volume Down, and according to general web searching that was the standard combination for 4.0. Not sure what's happened since. Of course, which way is more common isn't too much of a concern ;)

Just a rooted stock ROM at the moment. I may move to cyanogen when there's a 10.2 stable, but there's some things I like about touchwiz (like screen "smart stay" and custom lock screen shortcuts, a few other things), other things I like about CM (closer to android mainline and pretty much lets me do WTF I want), so not sure which I'll end up with. But just stock for now.

But the Galaxy S line has been Home and Power since the beginning, were you using Power and Volume down on this phone before?
If you want an AOSP ROM there are stable 4.3 ones already out, I'd recommend Slim Bean or GPE ROM.
If you want a TouchWiz based ROM which lets you keep all the cool features that come with the phone I'd recommend Eclipse, Hyperdrive, and Wanamlite.
What carrier are you on?

Not on this Galaxy S3, unfortunately. But I know the Nexus S <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nexus_S> uses Power+VolDown, as I've used that before (In my prev post I meant "Nexus S", not "Galaxy Nexus", sorry. I haven't used the Galaxy Nexus). And just do a web search for taking screenshots on android, when Andoid added built-in support for it in 4.0, the standard straight-from Google AOSP combination was Power+VolDown. I guess Samsung has always been modifying that.

Android 4.3 isn't really the reason I'm waiting for CM 10.2. It's more because I'd tried CM 10.1.3 already but ran into the (mostly camera) problems you get from using the newer version of the S3's bootloader on that. Ie, the same issues as here <http://rootzwiki.com/topic/100194-cant-connect-to-the-camera-again/#entry1427298>. I could have tried switching to the older bootloader, but by the time I'd gotten that far I'd already wasted most of the day, so I'm done with it for now ;) I did try a nightly of 10.2, and the camera worked, but Dialer crashed, so yea, I'm just gonna wait for the stable ;)

Interesting. CM is the only modded ROM I'm familiar with, so I've never heard of those, but I may look into them.

Verizon :/

So there isn't any known hack or hidden setting to change the screenshot combination?

Not that I'm aware of, hopefully someone here can give a definitive answer
