My Nexus 5 should arrive today. I have a Nexus 4 (my first smartphone). I would like to transfer all my sms texts, photos, and apps over to my new phone as easily and completely as possible. What is the best way to do this? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the cloud! Everything on your phone is tied to your Google account....so once you sign in on the new phone you'll be able to automatically (or manually) download all your existing apps. Your Google apps should even retain your current settings, but other apps may need to be tweaked to get them back to how you like them. The only things you'll need to transfer over are locally stored files, pics or music. You can either use apps like AirDroid or PushBullet to do that or use the usb to dump them onto a computer and then onto the new phone.

Thanks for the response. So do AirDroid and PushBullet just work over a wifi network? Only one phone will be on a cell network at one time.
