Help! Not receiving certain texts!

Hi all, i have a galaxy S3 and at one point i installed the app 'sms ninja' on my phone when it was part of the 'appoftheday' deal. Now after a while of not enjoying the app i uninstalled it. Since doing that i've now noticed i'm not receiving a lot of texts that i used to like Argos reservation texts, bank balance texts or any set up texts for example confirming an app set up on my phone to send a code etc...i dont recieve them anymore. Even texts from my O2 network! I've contacted o2 who say that the settings for third party and marketing texts is enabled on my account and ive contacted the creators of 'sms ninja' who say they've not had this issue occur before and that any settings woulf have been erased when uninstalling the app. Any ideas?? This has been going on for months and i really would like to go back to receiving these texts! Especially the important bank update ones :-(
