Default problem with stock music player app

This is my first android and I'm still trying to figure it all out. I just started loading music on to my phone and I'm running into some problems. Some of the albums that I load come out perfect, but others are not. For one, they are all out of order, the songs are listed alphabetically instead of their original number on the album. I checked the tags and they seem good so I'm not sure why it is doing that. The second problem is some album covers won't show up. How can I fix these problems?

Cover art down loader app will replace the missing album covers.

Which phone do you have, and which music player are you using? Stock (i.e., preinstalled) Android music players have historically been glitchy when it comes to reading ID3 tags correctly, and it seemed in the past that a lot of them would list songs alphabetically instead of in track order.

If you're not using it already, I recommend using . In my experience, it never lists tracks incorrectly. If you'd prefer a non-Google player, try , which is folder-based rather than ID3 tag based, so it will list the songs in whatever order you have them in the folder.

I have the Samsung galaxy note 3. Actually I decided to use Google Play first, but Im having even major problems with them, that is why I decided to try out the stock music app. At first my albums were uploading fine, but then I started noticing there were missing songs. The uploader recognizes that all the songs were uploaded, but when I checked online via the web, the songs were missing, even in my phone they were missing. Like the last album I uploaded, it said 17 songs uploaded, but when I checked there were only 5 songs in there. Im not sure what the heck is going on, Im sure all the files are supported mp3, they were all labeled correctly, and even if they werent I couldnt find them anywhere in my library.
