Evo 3D all sorts of screwed up

Within the last 2 months I have been having a problem with getting the phone to wake up, when I hit the power button usually the bottom 4 buttons light up bit no screen. After about 20-30 times it finally gives me the screen. Also most of the time when in use, the screen becomes unresponsive to me and has a mind of its own, zooming in and out and moving all over the place, this is temporarily fixed but hitting the power button and then waking it up again. It's becoming a pain and I'm ready to throw it against the wall. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Welcome to Android Central! Sorry if this isn't relevant to your phone, but are you able to replace the battery? The behavior might be a sign of a failing battery.

Also, try a factory data reset if you haven't done so already. You'll lose all of your data, so make sure everything is backed up.

So have you tried a new battery? Instructions on replacing the battery here: Install or replace the battery - HTC EVO? 3D

And have you tried a factory data reset?
