    Default Gmail on Tesco HUDL

    Hi guys

I am trying to get in to the General Settings page in Gmail on my Hudl to change the "swipe to delete" value, but I cannot find the page!!!

When I go into settings there is a General link but it only shows

    - Auto advance
    - Message text size
    - Ask to show pictures

I have tried different contexts, inbox, recycle bin, unread email, read email, but cannot find this setting, in fact according to the Google help page I am missing a whole range of settings.

    thanks in advance.

Welcome to Android Central! What version of the Gmail app are you using? It just updated to 4.7.2. You are talking about the app, and not the Gmail webpage on the browser, right?

Ok, just to make sure we're on the same page, you're doing the following, correct?

    1. Open Gmail app.
    2. Press Menu button (either hard menu button or 3 vertical dot soft menu button).
    3. Select Settings.
    4. Select General Settings. Do you see the Swipe To Delete option there?

Do you think you could post a screenshot of your Gmail Settings page?

Can't tale a screen shot at moment, but this is what I have.

    1. Open Gmail
    2. tap three dots in top right
    3.select Settings
4.select General on new screen (other option is mail account)
5.new screen is headed "APPLICATION" and has the following three options
    - Auto-advance
    - Message text size
    - Ask to show pictures

Apart from "ADD ACCOUNT" in top right there are no other tappable objects on screen and no other options

Strange. I suppose it could be a device specific limitation. Does Tesco have a support page? Maybe you could speak to their support department.
