    Default How do i save a chrome extension onto a flash drive?

    Just in case they take an extension i like off the google chrome store, how could i save the extension?

    Not sure I understand, it'd sync between all browsers you have set up to sync. Do you mean in order to edit it or save it for what purpose?

    Just in case they take the extension off the chrome store i'd like to be able to save it to my computer.

    I don't use Chrome, but on Firefox there are a few ways of doing that. Isn't there a "backup extensions" function in Chrome? If not, someone wasn't thinking when they designed extensions into Chrome. For example, how do I move my 35 installed extensions to my new computer? Download them one at a time again?

    As long as you're logged into desktop Chrome with your Google account, any other desktop Chrome browser that you open and sign into will automatically sync all bookmarks and load up any extensions. They're all essentially backed up in your Google account.
