How do I get Google Maps offline without voice command?

I went to cache a map to day for offline use and couldn't find anyway to do so without using the voice command. This is inconvenient for me because I dislike voice commands but it occurs to me that killing the old menu option means people who do not talk CAN'T use offline mode anymore. That seems really backwards to me. I get having voice command as an option but having it replace the standard method altogether seems to limit accessibility. I thought Google was more forward thinking than that.

Re: Google Maps offline for deaf people?

Update, I found that you can type "Okay Maps" into the search bar for the same result as the voice command. This is not mentioned in the "Tips and Tricks" section of Google maps however, I found it on a third party site.
