Bookmarks Widget Option

I use the Chrome bookmarks widget but I'm not a huge fan. The thumbnails are iffy and don't really make it any easier to navigate. I'm wondering if there is a way to get the icons that are associated with websites to be used instead. Maybe a third party widget? I use too many bookmarks to just use shortcuts even though they look much better.
