There are close to or around a million Android apps. So what makes the ones in the above list 'essential' in your opinion, Chitranjan?

What's essential to you may be useless to me and the other way around. The only apps on that list that I even have installed is Skype, because I need it once in a while and MX player because it's a good player. But the rest of them are FAR from essential to me.

Satellite locator apps are probably not essential to you, but I have a few of them. I also consider Cozi essential, because it's how my extended family keeps track of who's doing what when.

There's no one list of apps longer than about 2 that's essential for everyone - phone and contacts. Maybe a texting app and an email app, but not everyone with an Android phone texts or uses it for email.

That's a good point i should have added more apps to really make it look like a million apps.

We have the Play Store for that already.
