    Default New Android Owner

I just recent switched from iPhone to a Galaxy Note 3. After reading threads all over the place I seem to be a little different than most, but I need some help. I am trying to figure out how to get the screen on my Note, to light up when I get an email in my email app as well as my gmail app if possible. I know this could potentially drain my battery quicker, but I would really like this option if it is possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You would need an app to do that. You could use Notifier Pro.

There's the app Dynamic Notifications, which is modeled after the Moto X's Active Display feature. Would something like that suit your needs?

    Edit: also what VDub said.

Try one of the apps suggested above and decide which one works best for you.
