    Default sd encryption...

If the manufacturer/vendor has chosen not to implement the option, how do you go about encrypting 'the entire file system' on an SD card?

Here is another way. It is a bit more complicated. You can connect the SD Card to a PC and add a truecrypt container inside of it. Everything you put in that container is encrypted with various types of encryption, such as AES-256 encryption You can then use EDS on your phone to open it.

Cheers for the quick reply. Yeah, i wrote to the 'encryption manager' fellow, Hans i think it is, asking whether his app could be used to do this and he said no. I'm wanting to encrypt the 'entire file system' on the card so that it can be accessed in real time by any app on the device that has permission to read/write to the card.

Cheers! I imagine that the only people who don't love True Crypt are those that don't about it and the NSA. I didn't know that there was an android app that supported it so, again, cheers,
