    I just found this on the Web, it appears to be straight forward and gives you multiple options to root.

    I would still use XDA personally.

    [ToolKit] Acer Iconia v0.8.1 ***New: Supporting A3-A10 / New: Pull system.img.gz*** - xda-developers

    Toolkit has been available since 18th April 2013. So should also be try and true.
    And last updated 12th March 2014 so still in active development.

    I almost always use XDA, the site is second to no one when it comes to development, rooting, romming and other mods, but this is the first that I've seen a way to root the tablet without a computer.
