Hello, my AC college's. I wanted to ask you: What exactly does the battery saver mode do in order to save battery? How does it effect the performance of our smart phone's. My moto g has a 4.4.2 KitKat if that is somehow related to the functioning of the mode.

Batterysaver kicks in at a certain percentage. My Moto X does at 15% remaining. What it does is limits data connectivity, and other functions to help you last until you can possibly make it to a charger.

That's different than Samsung, where "Power saving" just limits the CPU maximum frequency. (The faster it runs, the more power it uses.)

So it doesn't limit the performance of the hardware like with Samsung?
