Angry Calendar Keeps adding reminders when I DIDN'T ask for them

I have an irritating problem with the installed calendar. I DO NOT put a reminder in when I am creating an event, however once the event is made the damn calendar has AUTOMATICALLY added event reminders at 15 AND 30 minutes. I can't figure out where I need to go to have the calendar NEVER put reminders on. Do you know how it's done?

    Welcome to the forums.
What device do you have? Is it the stock calendar?

Mine has recently started doing that, too. And now, I can't make events different colors…what is going on?

You may be getting 2 notifications from both the Samsung calendar, and Google. I would suggest disabling Samsung Calendar and trying Google.

I in fact DO have the google calendar on my phone and din't care for the layout. HOwever since it's still installed on my phone I looked into the google settings and low and behold the reminder was set for 15 minutes. I set the google calendar for 0 reminders and "poof" my problem is corrected in the stock calendar of the SAmsung 3!!!
    Thank you!
