    Default Which Android Phone?

Well, im new to the community, my first post actually :P, and im thinking about getting an android. I recently imported from the Crackberry forum and im looking to switch platforms... since android is cooler

Anyways, im looking for a GSM phone that can work on Fido's network.

So basically it has the 850 mhz thing :P im not really fimiliar with this stuff.

Im looking for decent specs, good enough to play games on the device and the rest is pretty normal.

P.S. im buying it unlocked, so something not too expensive would be alot easier :P. Im a high school student so my price range is below 500 dollars :P.

    Thanks!

I literally just got this phone in the mail yesterday. It shipped to me over night. Using it on Fido. So far so good. Got 3g, and all my e-mail working, exchange calendar etc. Battery life is ****, but I am playing with it non stop.

You can always tell a new user - poor phone never gets any rest.......

I think all of us suffer from that problem.

My suggestion is to consider what you are planning to do with the device. Do you want/need a real live keyboard? and after that, ponder a couple of seconds further and then buy whatever tickles your fancy.
EVO & an Acer A500 tablet.

well, as i said, my carrier is fido and its on the 850 mhz thing. Im currently looking at the captivate since that seems the best. im also looking at the acer liquid E... (although i have a couple questions below). As for the use of it? its just emails, texting, games... i could care less about the keyboard. Im pretty adaptable with technology, i can use an onscreen keyboard or a slide out one... but what i really want is the normal android OS (not with a different UI like the xperia x10)

Anyways, heres a couple more questions, i hope you can answer them all!

How is the Captivate and the Acer Liquid E on games, running lots of processes, email, internet and such... Is it fast? does it lag? im plannign on playing games like doodlejump, and stuff thats not too high on graphics. As for internet, both work on my 3g network, are they both pretty fast? compared to the blackberry storm or iphone 4.

Also, the reason i dont want to choose the other android phones is because one of the below options

    1. Looks weird
    2. Costs too much
    3. Dont like the UI
    4. Not good enough specs
