    Exclamation lost calendar

    hello

I hope you can help me, last week while trying to do some work on my phone I accidentally deleted my phone factory calendar
I have tried to get it back but with no luck, can anyone help? every time I try to get it back I have several notes:
can't be found in "my calendars".. missing apk...
Is there a way to get it back or set phone to the state it was a week ago (like a system restore point on a computer..?!)
    I have a Lenovo a269i with android 2.3.6

    thanks for everything

Welcome to the forums. I would suggest trying to find the .apk file. In the search box, type your model and calendar .apk. See if you can find the file to sideload it.
If you can't I would then suggest Google calendar.

Welcome to Android Central! Just to clarify--are you saying you accidentally deleted the actual Calendar app, or that you accidentally deleted the calendar events?

Are you rooted? If you're not, then it shouldn't be possible to delete a preinstalled system app like the Calendar app.

    hey
i cant use google cal. cause my cell always gives me the answer "no calendar found in your 'my calendar' "
and it opens a blank list which i can't write in it for some reason, nor wil it take any other calendar as my main one

Have you checked for the app file to sideload?

This is odd, because you can't delete a system app or preinstalled app if you aren't rooted. Are you absolutely sure you're unrooted? If you bought it on eBay or from some other seller, it's always possible the seller didn't tell you the root history.

So the Calendar app isn't in the App Drawer? Have you checked to see if your phone is able to hide apps? This is a feature of some Samsung devices.

    hey
no it is not hidden or in a drawer, I have checked and it seems to be gone from any list of apps on the phone
is there any way to expose hidden apps? because in the "regular way" it isn't showing.. no hidden apps too..
any ideas how to set "back in time "the phone? or maybe get another calendar to be main? (until know I was not able to do this
even with google) can I set/download new calendar to sd and set it?
    ideas?

I'm pretty much stumped, as I don't see how a system app can be deleted on an unrooted phone. The only thing I can suggest right now is a full factory reset.

I am not entirely sure a reset will help, but I also don't have anything better to suggest, either.

You have to have a Google calendar set up in order to use it. Do you have one set up with the Gmail address you use for your phone?

I don't understand how a system app could be deleted either. Weird.
