Hi Folks, I was helping a friend flash his note back to stock Kitkat and now it is stuck in Odin Mode. I have tried CWM and a few other recoveries, but they all fail in Odin.

This is what ODIN says when trying to flash stock kitkat

<ID:0/008> aboot.mbn
<ID:0/008> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/008> FAIL! (Auth)
<ID:0/008>
<ID:0/008> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

When I try to flash CWM or Philz touch recovery I get this from ODIN:

0/008> recovery.img
<ID:0/008> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/008> FAIL! (Auth)
<ID:0/008>
<ID:0/008> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

When trying CWM phone shows sys rev check fail: no version
secure magicode check fail: recovery

Update: I believe the issue was that every file that stated it had the most up to date bootloader was not the correct one i needed. I was about to give up, and I tried one more file and it fixed the phone as far as I can see. file was found at
http://pr32.rapidgator.net//?r=download/index&session_id=kdHq7DsKlGrHPtfIIUqPI7GrRl5lB2Bz

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try flashing in the PIT file that can be found on this thread: [GUIDE] VZW Note III Edition XDA Developers (Google it,since we are not allowed to paste links). After you have flashed in the PIT file, simply flash in the recovery file depending upon the version it was previously on.
